Do you love Turkish food as much as we do?
We were so happy to see Kekik Kitchen open in the high street, and they offer truly delicious and authentic Turkish food at really reasonable prices!
No starters here – we went straight for the main shebang! A mixed grill is always a good idea, but here it’s absolutely worth the money, there’s so much food on this platter you could quite easily share it with some cold meze on the side!!
Coming in at £16.90, you get so much food! A platter of Chicken Shish, Lamb Shish and Lamb Kofte, Lamb Chops and Chicken Wings served with rice, bulgur, dressed salad and grilled peppers. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The meat is so tender, flame cooked and juicy, and coated with their unique mix of spices – I would absolutely not miss out on this!!
We love some Shish – so of course Lamb and Chicken we’re also on the menu. Again, served up beautifully tender and juicy, full of flavour and plenty to fill up even the hungriest of patrons!
We were definitely full after demolishing our massive Mixed Grill and Shish but we had to squash some desserts in too! I always have the Baklava in any sort of Turkish or Medi restaurants. They all vary so much, but these ones we’re gorgeous. Not too sweet and with incredibly delicate flaky pastry, sticky and gooey insides and the perfect nutty crunch with every bite. Teamed up with a massive slice of homemade New York style Cheesecake which was simple but very well done, beautifully creamy, a nice soft biscuity base and a deep rich vanilla flavour.
The bar is impressive here and definitely Instagrammable! So definitely get those cocktails in! Think Blue Margaritas, Aperol Spritz’s, fruity Martinis, Mojitos, and Espresso Martinis all shaken and stirred to perfection.
Currently available to order for pickup or delivery in the Bromley area, Kekik Kitchen is definitely one to try for delicious authentic Turkish food, and we’ll definitely be returning here soon!
